Meet Jeph B. Acheampong

Jeph B. Acheampong is on a mission to close Africa’s opportunity gap through education and technology. As Founder and Director of Blossom Academy, an award-winning workforce development accelerator, he equips learners with data and AI skills to increase their incomes while helping companies embed data-driven practices.

Blossom Academy has expanded from Ghana to Nigeria and Rwanda, achieving an 85% career placement rate for nearly 1,000 graduates. Its model has positioned Jeph as an advisor to governments and multilateral institutions on AI and digital transformation, contributing to Ghana’s National AI Strategy (2023–2033), Uganda’s applied AI roadmap, and a World Bank–Government of Benin initiative on job creation. The organization has earned global recognition, including the Expo 2020 Dubai Global Innovator Award and Ghana EdTech of the Year, with support from the UN World Food Programme, GIZ, and the Mastercard Foundation, and has been featured by CNN, the United Nations, and on the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square.

Jeph holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University, where he was a Finalist in the President’s Innovation Challenge, and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University, where he received the President’s Service Award. He was previously a founding member of Esusu Financial, a U.S.-based unicorn advancing financial equity, and worked as a Data Solutions Consultant at Experian. He is also a Princeton in Africa, Acumen, and Harvard Kennedy School Social Innovation Fellow.

AS SEEN ON

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

As a management consultant to NGOs, governments, corporations and start-ups across the world, especially in Asia and the US, I have become familiar with the traits that finely separate the visionaries from the dreamers. The former are not only imaginative and think of possibilities as many dreamers do, but they are also big-picture oriented, highly motivated, and positively energized. Visionaries are themselves do-ers and are never afraid of failures, from which they learn as they work endlessly to improve themselves and their ventures. Jeph is a visionary and an entrepreneur...a social entrepreneur. His thoughts are always on how he can improve the well-being and lives of others who are less fortunate or sidelined in society. What truly makes him different is that he builds on his ideas through inspiring everyone around him and channeling their energies into his social endeavors, and therefore helping the many individuals who are the beneficiaries.
